SRVUSD'S "EQUITY" SHIPWRECK LEAVES ALL IN THE SAME BOAT 

This page provides a doorstep to another series of important revelations regarding SRVUSD's extensive record of nonfeasance, misfeasance, and malfeasance over the years — in this case, the District's perversely corrupted "Equity" programs.  Note that there are presently five subpages.  Two  have been added since site inception, with  background research and expert opinion focusing upon how insanely counterproductive the "LGBTQ+" programs are.   

This "Equity" Program exposé introduces sub-page segments which examine SRVUSD's extensive indoctrination of students:

(a) in Critical Race Theory (CRT, though they generally try to avoid calling it what it is); 

(b) in "LGBTQ+" identities and gender-bender activism, including two staff members' "experiences of queering the classroom";

(c) in a "Queering the Classroom II" page with a timeline of SRVUSD's indoctrination/subversion in "LGBTQ+" politics.

(d) in the Transgender Psychosis which SRVUSD policies (including LGBTQ-themed TK-5 read-alouds) may be causing. 

(e) in even SRVUSD's grading policy and practice.

Alexandr Wang, the founder of Scale AI and a billionaire at the age of 24, has declared to his employees and his investors that hiring on merit is crucial to the company's success. "Scale is a meritocracy, and we must always remain one.   It’s a big deal whenever we invite someone to join our mission, and those decisions have never been swayed by orthodoxy or virtue signaling or whatever the current thing is.  I think of our guiding principle as MEI: merit, excellence, and intelligence."

In contrast, SRVUSD's guiding principle is DEI, the counterproductive notion that "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion" are more important ingredients for success than merit.   

So in this school district, the teaching and learning of knowledge and skills (the mission delegated to schools by parents and other taxpayers) take a back seat to systematic indoctrination.  And the pages listed and linked above (a, b, c, d, e) merely scratch the surface of SRVUSD's deep corruption.

"MEDIA LITERACY"
"Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" asked the Roman poet Juvenal.  Who will guard the guardians themselves?

 

Like other school districts around the country, SRVUSD is aware of increasing resistance by parents and other citizens to the "woke" indoctrination programs which are frequently displacing academic studies these days.

Likely as an intended work-around, SRVUSD is implementing a new program that can augment the District's existing brainwashing programs.  It's called "MEDIA LITERACY." 

The problem is that the same administration and like-minded, CTA-unionized teaching staff which has shamefully subverted history and civics lessons with
ov
ertly racist "anti-racism," which is pushing "LGBTQ+" story-book read-alouds at even kindergarteners and pornography in high school libraries, will be the ones who decide for kids which media is allegedly truthful and balanced.

Real Clear Politics has posted a helpful article which parents and older students are well advised to read and consider as the kids are exposed to SRVUSD's continuing propaganda campaigns, now with questionable  instruction in "media literacy" layered on top.  These classes will very likely make use of the usual suspects in misreporting and underreportin
g to take further advantage of impressionable young minds. 

See also the Media Research Center's comprehensive report on the left-wing origins and continuing connections of those involved in pushing "MEDIA LITERACY" in schools.  Were this an honest initiative, teaching kids to research and sort out real-world facts from Big Media under-reporting, misdirection, and outright lies, it would be a welcome program.  But that is not what's generally intended.  

The District's high school "Interdisciplinary Ethnic Studies" course description incorporates "media literacy" in what comes across as a ridiculous, jargon-stuffed caricature of "wokeness" lessons; but this is for real:  


"This course examines the complexities of power, privilege, and agency in history and modern-day sociopolitical systems, through the lenses of race, ethnicity, gender, class, ability, and religion.  Students will use a variety of multimedia materials, primary sources, data and texts to think deeply about intersectional identities and bias.  We will be challenged to use critical thinking and the art of storytelling to make connections between ourselves and others.  There will be an emphasis on building media literacy skills and evaluating stereotypes and misinformation through a culturally-relevant pedagogical frame.  We will seek counter narratives of missing perspectives, paying particularly close attention to marginalized groups in California, including those from Native American, African American, Asian American, Latinx, and LGBTQ+ communities, as well as from Jewish, ArB, AND Muslim religions.  We will learn about liberatory movements and culminate with a student designed action project that promotes civic engagement, self-efficacy and collective empowerment" (red-font emphasis added).

 

SRVUSD has repeatedly exposed itself as an out-of-control indoctrination machine, dangerous to young minds, hearts, and souls.  Those who care about the kids in SRVUSD's charge will work to limit the damage.
